Ellie Orrell

Ellie Evelyn Orrell is an artist from Mid-Wales, currently living and working in The Hague. Through the use of pared-down lines and simple forms, her work aims to disentangle everyday moments into her own simplified language of drawing. Each piece attempts to capture a small moment of beauty found in day-to-day interactions with the world: a familiar face, a messy breakfast table or a rainy landscape. Her online shop, Sunday Drawing, presents a collection of original works and prints and speaks to her self-taught path to making which began as a weekend activity in order to process the week’s events in a mindful way.
